Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking. We only see anonymous gameplay stats that help us make better levels.

Who we are

Owlight is made by FedUp Studios. The company responsible for your information is:

What we do not collect

We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, photos, IP addresses or advertising identifiers. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking across apps or websites. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

Gameplay analytics

The game creates a random install ID on your device. With it, the game sends gameplay events:

• session started
• level started, completed or quit
• hints used
• paywall viewed
• purchase or restore completed
• daily puzzle played

Each event has a timestamp, the app version and the platform. We use this only to improve levels and game design. The install ID is not linked to your identity. We keep events for up to 24 months, then delete them.

Where it is stored

Gameplay events are stored on our own Cloudflare account. Cloudflare acts as our infrastructure provider and may process data outside Canada.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. We only receive a confirmation, never your payment details.

Your progress

Progress is stored on your device and, if you have it turned on, in your own iCloud account.Apple's privacy policy applies to iCloud.

Children

We collect no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

To see or delete the gameplay events linked to your install ID, email[email protected] with the install ID shown in Owlight's Settings. Deleting the app removes the install ID from your device. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and apply the same practices worldwide.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
